Lamborghini began as Ferruccio Lamborghini's challenge to established grand-tourer orthodoxy. The company soon moved beyond refinement into visual and mechanical theater, helping define both the mid-engine supercar and the angular poster car.
How it evolved
The 350 GT and 400 GT established credibility, the Miura made the transverse mid-engine V12 glamorous, and the Countach replaced curves with a wedge and scissor doors. Diablo, Murciélago and Aventador evolved that lineage while Audi ownership improved consistency and broadened the range.
Unmistakable design, naturally aspirated V12 character, event-level presence and a willingness to make convention feel timid.
Drama can outrun ergonomics and delicacy, while growing usability risks reducing the very extremity enthusiasts expect.
