Do not begin with a drive
Long-term storage affects fluids, rubber, fuel, batteries, tires, brakes and seals. Starting and moving the car before inspection may turn manageable deterioration into damage.
The plan should reflect model-specific risks, storage environment and the evidence available from the previous owner.
A staged return
Begin with visual inspection, leak checks, battery and fuel assessment, fluid condition and tire age. Establish oil pressure and operating temperature carefully.
After baseline service, use short controlled drives followed by reinspection. Budget for discoveries rather than assuming low mileage means low need.
Specifications and market conditions change. Confirm model-specific details and complete independent due diligence before any transaction.
